There is no question that Omaha's Mayor Suttle has simply gone nuts. He is non compos mentis for sure. Not only is he comfortable recommending an 11% tax increase to deliver to his police (and soon fire) union supporters and fund new spending programs while he lets necessary city services, i.e., street repaving, pot hole filling, etc., go unfunded, now he is spending your federal tax dollars by creating perhaps his first real job in Omaha, that of a bicycle coordinator.Yes, a Bicycle Coordinator.
Sure, the $65,000 salary of this 'coordinator' isn't being paid by Omaha tax dollars, but it is being paid by the tax dollars of Omaha citizens whose federal tax dollars provide the unnecessary dollars to fund the grants to pay for it (as well as some local non-profits). And how long will those non-city tax dollars be around to fund this position before Omahans have to kick in? Three years we're told.
Somehow, Omaha's mayor just doesn't get it. Is it any wonder that folks want to get him out of office before he becomes even more delusional?

Isn't that what the NRD , MAPA, Corp. of Engr's and the City of Omaha have been doing for several years now. All of a sudden we been to pay some guy from California who doesn't even know this City or area to come up with ideas. Where do I sign?
